Domestic cement prices continue up VND150,000/ton from Apr

Domestic cement enterprises will raise the domestic cement prices by 150,000/ton from April 1, the online newspaper Tuoitre reported on March 31.

Domestic cement enterprises will raise the domestic cement prices by 150,000/ton from April 1, the online newspaper Tuoitre reported on March 31.

The cement prices has increased by VND210,000/ton from the beginning of this year.

The prices of cement increased due to higher input material cost including coal, fuel, electricity and higher domestic dollar prices as well.

The retail price of cement rose by between $83-$85/ton while the wholesale cement is sold at been VND1.48-1.57 million per ton.

The prices hike of fuel, electricity and construction material will continue challenge the country’s efforts to curb inflation.

Vietnam consumer price index(CPI) posted a 34 month high of 2.17% in March, raising CPI in the first quarter to 6.12%.Prices of transportation staple posted highest increase in the third month of this year with 6.69% on-month on Feb fuel hike. – Stoxplus.com
