Demand of online recruitment down 1 percent in Oct

Sales, IT-software, Marketing and Accounting/Finance are always top five industries demanding online recruitment service. The demand of Marketing section alone continuously went down in the last six months, the Vietnam Business Forum posted, citing VietnamWorks October report.
In October, the demand of online recruitment was down 1%. The index of online human resources reached 145 points, plunging 5% month-on-month, and the competition among job seekers was less tense, according to VietnamWorks website.

However, the index still was higher 24% against March that was seen as the peak season of recruitment annually. It meant that the market was going well for the enterprises in demand of recruitment.

Also, the report indicated that the demand of online HR of the industries such as sales, IT-software, Accounting/Finance grew 5-7%. Meanwhile the number of online jobs for Marketing sector consecutively declined in last 6 months, showing businesses tended to cut marketing operations in the context of difficult economy.

Particularly, in October, the employment demand in sales sector soared 7%, IT-Software +5%, Accounting/Finance +7%.

As recorded by VietnamWorks website, the demand of online HR in October continued decreasing slightly against September. The index reflected correctly annual tendency that the activities of recruitment and job-seeking in Q4 usually go down.

Overall, the need of online HR in October surged 9% year on year. The increase proved that online recruitment channel is getting more popular among employers.

After three months of stability, the employment index of online HR market reduced 12 points or 5%, representing the less tense competition among job seekers. But it remained higher than March when the index reached 24%.

Chris Harvey, CEO VietnamWorks assessed, the demand of employment in the online labour market did not change much but at this time, job-seekers do not want to change jobs till the reward period of year end. This makes the market less competitive.

It does not mean that candidates will be able to find jobs more easily. There are a lot of challenges for job seekers because employers offer high requirements for those who can create needed values, he noted. – Vietbiz24
