Danang boosts ties with Australia
The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, Quentin Bryce AC, visited the central city of Danang and worked with authorities there on May 11.
Tran Van MInh, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, said Danang has seen remarkable socioeconomic developments.
The city has increased investment in developing infrastructure, tourism, and accelerating the urban expansion, he said.
Danang also has close cooperative relationships with the Australian state of Queensland, Minh said, adding that many Danang students are studying in Australia.
The Governor-General expressed her pleasure at the city’s development and said she believes the traditional relationship between both sides will continue to grow and flourish.
On the same day, she visited the English Language Institute, a project coordinated between Danang University and Queensland University. – VOV
