Daiwa Securities To Launch Vietnam Fund, Spend US$11 Billion
Daiwa Securities Group Inc. will launch an investment fund with a brokerage firm in Vietnam to expand its Asian business operations, NHK reported Wednesday.
The national broadcaster said the group’s investment firm, Daiwa SMB Capital, and Saigon Securities Inc. (SSI) are expected to establish the investment fund on Wednesday.
It will invest around $11 billion in venture businesses in Vietnam next year, NHK said.
Daiwa Securities believes the prospects for Vietnam’s economy look promising after the country managed to survive the global financial crisis.
