Dairy processing factory of $1.2b appears in HCM City

TH Milk Food Joint Stock Co (TH Milk) yesterday start the project on applying Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software worth $5 million provided by IBM. Accordingly, IBM will help the dairy producer to manage efficiency of breeding, production and distribution process.

Previously, TH Milk imported 1,500 milk cows from New Zealand; bring its cow herb to 4,600. This is the biggest milk cow farm in Vietnam.

The company also has finished construction on fresh milk processing factory with a designed capacity of 500 million litres earning $148 million a year. Total cost for the construction was $1.2 billion, including $350 million for the first phase till 2012.
