Cua Dat hydropower plant joins national grid
After a long time of trial operation of Turbine 1 and 2, Cua Dat hydropower plant officially joined the national grid yesterday May 31, about two months earlier than the plan.
This is one part of general project of Cua Dat Reservoir on Chu River, Thuong Xuan Dist, Thanh Hoa province. The construction on the hydropower plant was officially started in February 2004, including two turbines with total designed capacity of 97 MW. The project has total investment capital of 1.865 trillion dong, to be conducted under building-operating (BO) method.
At present, Cua Dat hydropower plant has operated in full capacity, providing power output of about 400 million KWh per year.
