Craft village goods and agriculture fair announced

A fair of agricultural and craft village products will take place in both south and north Vietnam, announced the Vietnamese Goods Trade and Service Joint Stock Company in Ho Chi Minh City on June 30.

The event has been planned under a trade promotion programme in the domestic market launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The fair will be organised in Dong Thap province on July 8-11 and Hanoi on July 22-25.

The fair is expected to connect agricultural producers, co-operatives and craft villages to distributors and processors, to allow for more economic cohesion. The aim is to increase competitiveness, create more effective production and reduce costs.

There will be two workshops on rice and fruit growing, plus a roundtable on training farmers in how to build trademark for their agricultural products and goods from craft villages, as well as a programme for connecting the media to the distribution network.
