Cotton import jumps 150pct
Production companies have imported 164,000 tonnes of cotton worth $269 million over the past five months, jumping 154 percent in value and nearly 100 percent in volume compared with the same period a year ago.
The rising imports come from surge of 40 percent in fibre exports during the period.
