Cooking gas price increases by 4,000 dong per 12kg cylinder from May 11
According to Do Trung Thanh, deputy head of business apartment of Saigon Petro, this gas price rise is to offset for the difficulties of petro dealers and high expenditures.
Within only 10 days, the gas price saw two rises totalled at 34,000 dong per 12 kilogram cylinder.
Also according to Thanh, the Saigon Petro’s current gas retail price is lower by tens of thousands dong than that of other petro dealers. At present, the petro dealers earns about only 30,000 dong profit for each 12 kilogram cylinder amidst high increasing costs.
Previously, on May 1, Saigon Petro also raised the gas retail price by 30,000 dong per 12 kilogram cylinder due to the gas price for May delivery in the world market increased more $87.5 per tone from the previous month, to $970 per tones. – Vietbiz24
