Contract to purchase electricity from A Luoi hydropower plant

The Electricity Purchasing Co, under Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) Group has lately signed the sales contract for electricity produced by A Luoi Hydropower Plant with Central Region Hydropower Joint Stock Co in Thua Thien-Hue province.

A Luoi hydropower plant has designed capacity of 170 MW, with total investment capital of 3.223 trillion dong. The Central Region Hydropower Joint Stock Co was the main investor.

Up to now, after 40 months of construction, the investors have already finished and chosen contractors for 105/107 bidding packages, making compensation for 747/800 hectares for 953 households and three organisations.

As planned, the construction on A Luoi hydropower plant project was supposed to be finished in 2011, supplementing 686.5 million KWh per year to the national grid. – Dautu
