Contract for designing Formosa Ha Tinh power plant inked

The Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Co No 2 (coded TV2) announced to sign the designing and consulting contract for building infrastructure facilities for Ha Tinh Formosa power plant – the first phase with Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Cast Co Ltd, under Taiwan-based Formosa Group on August 28, 2010.

The new power plant was located at Son Duong complex of cast iron and steel plant, oil refinery and deep-water seaport in Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ha Tinh province.

The project was divided into two phases. In the first phase, the investors will construct six turbines with designed capacity of 150 MW each in order to meet the power demands for the complex and join the national grid by 400-500 MW per year. – TV2
