Construction of new garment plant in Tan Huong Industrial Park

The 100 percent foreign-owned Quang Viet Joint Stock Co officially held the ground breaking ceremony for construction a new garment and fabric plant in Tan Huong Industrial Park, Tien Giang province on Sep 12, 2010.

The plant, with total investment capital of 200 billion dong, will be built in an area of 50,000 square metres, including 60 modern production lines. There are about 3,000 local people to work in the factory.

Quang Viet JSC expected to put the plant into operation in February 2011. After that, the investor would continue investing additional 100 billion dong to raise the total amount of employees in the factory to 6,000 people, gaining average annual revenue of about 1.2 trillion dong.

Quang Viet JSC has operated in Vietnam for many years, to produce products for world-known trademarks such as Adidas, Puma, Reebok. Apart from this plant, the company has had other plants in Cu Chi Dist, HCM City and Shanghai, China with total revenue of trillions dong per year.
