Construction of nation’s first LPG warehouse starts
Construction of the country’s first cold LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) warehouse started on Nov. 19 at the Thi Vai gas complex in the Cai Mep industrial zone in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
The warehouse with a designed capacity of 60,000 tonnes of cold LPG will be built at a cost of 2.5 trillion VND (138.8 million USD).
According to the Vietnam Gas Corporation, the project, which is expected to be completed in late 2012, will help stabilise domestic demand for gas.
Construction work is being carried out by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Construction Corporation and the Daewoo Engineering Co. Ltd.
