Construction of major bridges starts simultaneously
The construction of three concrete bridges began along a single highway across the central province of Quang Ngai on December 5.
All the three bridges have been designed with the ever-lasting structure to be made of concrete and resistant to major earthquakes.
The projects are expected to complete in 24 months at a total cost of more than US$4.43 million. They are part of a project on upgrading the national road system, first phase, to build 140 bridges in 38 provinces and cities nationwide.
The investment of US$245.7 million for the entire phase will come from the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation and the Vietnam Road Administration.
