CIOs discuss challenges of new technology

More than 100 Vietnamese businesses attended a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on June 30 to discuss challenges of new technology facing Chief Information Officers (CIOs).

The event was organised by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to support businesses in applying information technology (IT) to service integration and development during the 2005-2010 period, as assigned by the Government to the VCCI.

Lecturers proposed many IT application solutions for businesses, emphasising the trend of cloud computing for their benefit.

The seminar aimed to provide CIOs with a strategic view on new IT applications and their effects on CIOs and business organisations at present and in the near future.

At the event, CIOs discussed solutions with leaders of related agencies and companies over issues including the selection and identification of practical technology to improve business efficiency. – VOV
