China’s BYD cars come to Vietnam
Vietnam’s FAuto Company celebrated the opening of a dealership in HCM City on Wednesday that will specialise in Chinese mid-range cars.
Located on Kinh Duong Vuong Street in Binh Tan District, BYD Saigon Auto features a 400-square-metre showroom and a 2,000- square-metre service facility. The dealership plans to target customers above the middle income level.
At the inauguration ceremony, the store introduced its first product, BYD F0, which sells for between 220 million dong (US$11,300) and 280 million dong ($14,400).
“In the near future, FAuto, the sole distribution agent of the Chinese manufacturer BYD in Vietnam, will import many other products like five-seat sedans and seven-seat MPV cars,” said Le Huu Tien, director of BYD Saigon Auto.
Tran Hai Nam, general director of FAuto, said his company hopes to bring quality cars to Vietnamese consumers at reasonable prices.
At the opening, the BYD Saigon launched a promotion programme in which customers buying a car from January 12 to 31 will receive a spare parts voucher worth 3 million dong.
FAuto Company said it plans to open six other dealerships in Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, and Dong Nai provinces. – Thanhnien
