Cement producer reports gaining H1 revenue of 668b dong

The northern bourse-listed Hoang Mai Cement Joint Stock Co (coded HOM) has released its business results for Q2 and first six months of 2010.

In the first half of 2010, the cement producer reported gaining accumulative revenue of 668.06 billion dong, and profit of 45.12 billion dong. The company’s Q2 profit was posted at 27.67 billion dong, reducing by 45% against the same period of last year.

The reduction of Q2 profit was resulted from two reasons: the sharp reduction in sales volume by 120,000 tonnes, leading to the declining revenue; and increasing fixed costs of financial costs, amortisation and repairing costs.

In 2010, HOM targets to reach total revenue of 1.622 trillion dong and pre-tax profit of 165.46 billion dong.
