Cement price may decline

Ministry of construction revealed that the country’s cement production output remained at stable level, therefore the cement price would not change much and may climb down in the end of the years.

Previously, Vietnam Cement Industry Corp, the cement producer that holds large market share, had decided to lower the sales price with the purpose of increasing the consumption volume. According to the statistics, in the first nine months of this year, the whole country’s cement production output reached 37.23 million tonnes, equal to 74 percent of the year plan, of which total cement sales volume counted for 36.4 million tonnes or 72 percent of the year plan. It was predicted that Vietnam’s total cement output might reach 50-51.5 million tonnes.

In the first nine months, the construction value of the member companies under ministry of construction was estimated at over 38 trillion dong, up 129 percent against the same period of last year. – hanoi moi
