Cassava ethanol goes on sale
Dong Xanh Joint Stock Co yesterday introduced ethanol fuel produced from cassava – the first of its kind in Viet Nam – to the domestic market.
This fuel has satisfied technical standards for biological fuel and will be used to replace other traditional petrol at a cheaper price, as well as being exported abroad in the future. Ethanol fuel is produced by the Ethanol Dai Tan factory in the southern central coastal province of Quang Nam with an annual capacity of 125 million litres.
The factory will sell 50 per cent of its volume on the domestic market, with the remainder for export.
