BIC offers insurance products via mobile paging

BIDV Insurance Company (BIC) has started to sell compulsory civil liability insurance for vehicles through mobile paging from June 2010, which is made possible owing to cooperation between the insurer and the online service firm VnPay.

The service facilitates customers in buying insurance and helps develop customer bases for both parties. Instead of going directly to insurance agents, buyers just note down their contact numbers, the type of coverage and send the contents to Number 8049 through mobile paging to buy the service.

Within 24 hours, BIC will contact buyers to confirm all information and send them the insurance policy certificate.

To use the service, customers should have a bank account at BIDV and registration of payment through mobile paging of VnTopup. Those who do not have bank accounts at BIDY still can buy the policy if they come to VnPay’s collection agents nationwide.

This method of payment saves time and transportation costs for both clients and insurance companies as a person can buy insurance anytime and anywhere.

In July last year, Bao Minh Insurance also coordinated. with Techcombank to launch the product.
