Bangladesh to buy 200,000 tones of rice from Vietnam
Bangladesh would buy 200,000 tonnes of rice from Vietnam to ensure the rice supply during the difficult period of high record food prices like present.
Of which, Bangladesh will buy 100,000 tones of partially boiled rice priced at $575 per tone, C&F (cost and freight), and 100,000 tonnes of 15 percent broken rice priced at $530 per tone.
Currently, Bangladesh is to strengthen the national food stockpile including rice and wheat due to the price of food is increasing strongly and to ensure the rice supply in the future.
