Aug 12: Vietnam Gold Plunges, Dollar Stable

Vietnam gold plunged today following suit of global gold plummet yesterday on rising equities. Dollar prices were stable.

As of 11:00 Hanoi time, Sacombank-SBJ gold was listed at VND44.66 million/tael and VND44.89 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively.

SJC in Hanoi was listed at VND44.55 million/tael and VND44.87 million/tael for bid and ask, respectively while SJC in the free market was quoted at VND44.5 million-VND44.85 million a tael for bid and ask respectively.

Gold prices were still moving in violence, trading range was wide, every day in the market is an adventure. But the trading was more active, some daytraders are making a killing, taking advantage of wild market swings that have scared off even strong-stomached investors, or bringing equally large losses. – Stoxplus.com
