Asean Infrastructure Fund established
In the margin of the 43rd conference of Asian Development Bank (ADB) held in Uzbekistan, the special meeting of Asean financial ministers discussed and officially established Asean Infrastructure Fund (AIF) on May 11, said State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) on May 12.
AIF will have the initial capital of $800 million including member countries and three partnership nations including China, Japan and Korea.
Also at the special meeting, Asean discussed on setting up the Macroeconomic and Finance Surveillance Office (MFSO) as well as budget for this office, to share expenditure for Asean+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO).
