Private carrier Mekong Air will start flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon City in central Binh Dinh Province as of today.

The carrier will fly seven times a week on the HCMC-Quy Nhon route by Bombadier – CRJ 900 aircrafts which have the capacity of 90 seats.

Mekong Air joined the domestic airline market last October with 14 routes from Hanoi and HCMC to Danang, Dalat, Buon Me Thuot, Pleiku, Phu Quoc and Con Dao.

It has sold a rather high rate of 85 percent of seats, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam.
