Air France to increase flights to Vietnam
Air France has announced it has reached a new agreement with Vietnam Airlines and is set to boost long-haul links between the carriers’ respective countries.
Through the newly-signed deal, passengers will be able to choose from flights offered by either carrier between Charles de Gaulle in the French capital and both Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi in Vietnam.
Air France passengers will be able to choose from 13 direct services a week, with passengers able to fly to the south-east Asian destination directly, rather than having to change in Bangkok.
The code-share agreement will come into effect on 3 July, with the carriers noting that they intend to further increase the frequency of services between Paris and Vietnam before the end of the year, in line with rising interest in the country as a long-haul holiday destination.
At the same time, Air France is also set to join KLM in increasing the number of flights it operates out of both Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates this summer.
