Agility continues expansion in Vietnam

As part of Agility’s ongoing expansion in Vietnam, the leading global logistics provider recently opened a branch office in Vung Tau and relocated its Hanoi office to a new, larger facility.

The new Hanoi office is strategically located with direct access to the city’s business and commercial districts. In this location, Agility offers customers a complete range of services including airfreight import, export and transit services, comprehensive customs services and cross border transportation to support the hi-tech, retail and apparel sectors. Agility’s specialized solutions for fairs and events and project logistics will also operate out of this new office location. The new, larger office space will accommodate the recent increase in employees that were hired due to rising customer demand and expansion of business in this area.

“The expanded team in Hanoi will be able to provide even greater customer support to deliver a comprehensive range of freight and logistics services,” said Michel Khaou, Agility’s Managing Director of Indochina.

At the new Agility office in Vung Tau, customers can access a wide-range of logistics services catering to the specific needs of retail, hi-tech and oil and gas markets. The main focus will be on logistics support to the oil and gas industry via trade lane management, customs clearance charters, material management, export compliance analysis, rig management and other related supply chain management solutions.

“These new developments support our expansion plans in Vietnam and are another step forward in our strategy of establishing a logistics network across Vietnam to support our customers in this emerging market,” said Mike Gildea, Agility’s Chief Executive Officer of South East Asia. “Vung Tau is an ideal location due to the strong growth of the offshore oil and gas sector, where crude oil and natural gas exploitation activities contribute a significant export volume. This new branch will support the global upstream and downstream network and will connect the region with other major oil and gas centers in Houston, Aberdeen, Dubai and Singapore.”

Agility’s Ho Chi Minh office will remain the headquarters for Agility’s operations in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and will continue to offer a wide range of logistics services.-By News Desk
