ADB lends $239m for building urban railway route in Hanoi
The board of directors of Asian Development Bank (ADB) has lately passed fundings for the construction of urban railway route in Hanoi with total loans of $239 million.
The project has investment capital of $1 billion dong, with total length of 12.5 kilometres from Hanoi Railway Station to Nhon, Tu Liem Dist, Hanoi.
The construction work was expected to be finished by 2015.
The French Governement and European Investment Bank also agreed to fund for this project. This is one of the four urban railway routes to be built in the Hanoi Urban Traffic Plan.
Early this year, ADB has already approved another loan to support one urban route in HCM City, raising the total funds for urban railway in Vietnam to $833 million.
