4.6m international visitors arrive in Vietnam in Jan-Nov
During the first 11 months this year, Vietnam has welcomed about 4.6 million international visitors, exceeding the year’s target of 4.2-4.5 million arrivals, according to the general Statistic Office (GSO).
In comparison with the same period last year, the figure increased up to 36.5%. Of which, the total number of foreign visitors coming to Vietnam for tourism and resort purposes was 2.85 million arrivals, up 42.3% year-on-year, while 932,000 others are for the business purpose, up 39.3% y-o-y and the tourists arriving in Vietnam for visiting their relatives increased 11% y-o-y, to 520,000 people.
Foreign visitors to Vietnam are mainly from China (833,000 tourists, up 76.7% y-o-y), and followed by Korea (450,000 people, rising 38% y-o-y), Japan (399,000 people, up 22.8%) and the US, Taiwan, Thailand and Cambodia. – TBKTVN
