4-1 HCM City expo showcases products

A biennial 4-in-1 exhibition on electricity, building technologies, security, and industrial automation opened in HCM City yesterday.

Elenex Viet Nam 2010, Architecture Building M&E Viet Nam 2010, Securitex&Fire Viet Nam 2010, and Industrial Automation 2010 have attracted more than 250 exhibitors from 30 countries and territories including Australia, mainland China, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.

Speaking at a press conference, Bui Thi Thuc Anh, director of VCCI Exhibition Service Ltd Co, one of the two orgainsers, said this year’s exhibition will showcase the latest products in automation, environmentally-friendly construction, and renewable energy.

Elenex Viet Nam has on display power application, transmission, and distribution equipment, electrical installations, and lighting technologies.

It focuses on safety and efficiency in products like cables, circuit breakers, conduits, connectors, generators, insulators, metering equipment, relays, switches and switchgears and transformers.

The industrial automation section addresses transformation in manufacturing, plants, and utilities progressively, from upgrading existing processes to full automation.

The exhibition will feature several seminars, including those on Viet Nam’s energy management, safety and energy saving in electrical installations, using two-way digital technology to control appliances and homes to save energy.

Hoang Van Dung, deputy chairman of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the exhibition will offer investors a chance to learn about the Vietnamese business environment and explore opportunities.

The exhibition, on at the Sai Gon Exhibition&Convention Centre until September 17, is expected to attract more than 6,000 business visitors from Viet Nam and other countries. — VNS
