3G network flourishes in HCM City

The total number of 3G new subscribers in the first five months of this year was equal to the figure of the whole year 2010 and the capacity also increased 4,000 times over the same period last year, the Vietnam military-run telecommunication firm, Viettel, quoted report in Jan-May in HCM City.
The use of 3G network has become a routine in this dynamic city with a population of more than eight million people.

According to the 2011 Netcitizens Vietnam report of Cimigo, HCM City is a vibrant city with more than 69% of Internet users daily.

Viettel owns the largest 3G mobile communication network in Vietnam. Particularly in HCM City, the rate of 3G over 2G station reached 95.24%. Viettel’s 3G network has already covered 100% wards and communes in the city. – Vietbiz24
