35 IT and Telecommunications awards for 2010

The Ministry of Information and Communication announced on December 29 that the 2010 Information Technology and Telecommunication Awards Ceremony will take place in Hanoi in late April 2011.

Awards will be presented in six fields: telecommunications, the information technology industry, training, information technology application, information security, and overseas businesses contributing to the Vietnamese information and communication sector.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Le Nam Thang said the 2010 IT awards will see more fields and criteria for selection.

He added that the awards will lay emphasis on the efficiency of businesses that provide 3G services and mobile phone services.

The awards are expected to give additional enthusiasm for a project that seeks to turn Vietnam into an information technology power. – VOV
