3.417tr dong invested for building An Giang airport

An Giang province people’s committee yesterday released the detailed plan for An Giang Airport for the period up to 2020 and towards 2030.

The An Giang airport was supposed to be built in Can Dang Communue, Chau Thanh Dist, An Giang province in an area of 235 hectares.

The project has total investment capital of 3.417 trillion dong, to be divided into two phases. In the first phase from now up to 2020, the investment capital was expected at 1.481 trillion dong. In the second phase up to 2030, the airport was supposed to be expanded with total width of 2,400 metres, runway of 2,382m x 18m. The airport will have designed capacity of transporting 300 tonnes of commodity and 100,000 passengers per year, with seven routes from An Giang to Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, HCM City, Phu Quoc and Cambodia.
