$250m for international port in Hai Phong
Vietnam National Shipping Lines (Vinalines) has entered into negotiations with three Japanese partners: Itochu, Mitsui O.S.K Lines and NYK to build Hai Phong International Port in Lach Huyen estuary, Chanh River, Cat Hai district with 250 million dollar of investment.
The investors will build two 750 meter container piers, covering 53.8 hectares on PPP (public-private partnership) basis. The state will invest on infrastructure construction such as road system, breaker and the companies on water front and loading equipment…
Vinalines and three Japanese companies are negotiating on joint venture company’s establishment for port investment and construction. The sides would seek capital loan for the joint venture company in coming time from Japan Bank for International Corporation (JBIC). The project is expected to be put into operation in 2016. – TBKTVN
