20 Vietnam’s Leading Coffee Exporters to Boost Sales via Spot Delivery
A club of 20 leading coffee exporting firms in Vietnam agreed on November 17 to boost sales of coffee via in spot delivery from Nov 18, 2009.
The agreement was reached among the 20 leading coffee exporters during a meeting which worked out measures to stabilize the domestic coffee market.
Do Ha Nam, chairman of the club said that Vietnamese coffee exporters have lost much because speculators have swayed coffee market during the past time.
Vietnam exported 1.15 million tons of coffee valued at US$1.8 billion in 2008-2009 crop, up 14.9% in volume but down 19.2% in value against a crop earlier. (Saigon Libration)
