185,000 tons of rice exported in early September

The Vietnam Food Association reported that in the first days of September, local rice traders exported more than 185,000 tonnes of rice, worth USD 68.525 million.

Since early this year, Vietnam exported more than 4.96 million tonnes of rice, earning a turnover of USD 2.11 billion. While local rice prices reduced slightly between VND 200 and 300 a kilogram from early September.

Dry rice IR50404 with standard fit for export cost VND 4,800 – 5,000 a kilogram, long seed rice at VND 5,300 – 5,400 a kilogram, and scented rice at VND 6,100 – 6,200 a kilogram.
