1.2m tones of clinker to be exported to Bangladesh

Hoang Manh Truong, chair of Hoang Phat The Vissai Group yesterday signed the cooperation contract with Hong Kong-based PeakWark Holdings Co for exporting clinker to Bangladesh.

According to the signed contract, Hoang Phat The Vissai Ninh Binh Group will export 1.2 million tones of clinker per year to Bangladesh. The total contract value was estimated at about one trillion dong.

On October 1, the first 100,000 tonnes of clinker will be exported to Bangladesh. This is the largest cement export contract that has been inked in the country’s cement industry so far.

The Vissai cement plant has designed capacity of 3.6 million tones of clinker per year. The plant’s products have been used in large construction projects such as Son La hydropower plant, National Convention Centre and Hanoi-based Keangnam Tower.
