The price of shrimp has increased sharply in southernmost Ca Mau Province since the beginning of the month. The jump was due to frozen shrimp exporters expanding their export market and the rising demand for Vietnamese shrimp at key export markets, including the US and Europe.
The price rose from VND95,000 to VND110,000 (or even VND125,000) per kilo with 30 units and from VND80,000 to VND100,000 per kilo with 40 units.
