WTO reference centre opens in Hanoi

A World Trade Organisation (WTO) reference centre (WRC) was launched in Hanoi on January 11.

The centre will provide WTO member countries the right to access the organisation’s information via its websites, publications and electronic version.

This is the first and only centre to be located in Vietnam. Through the centre, the government’s agencies, the research and training institutions, the localities and businesses will be provided with most reliable and latest information on commercial policies issued by the WTO and the related issues.

The centre will serve as a channel through which Vietnam will receive technical and training assistance in training to improve the capacity of its staff through online or direct courses supported by the organisation.

Mustapha Sadni Jallab, Head of the WRC in Vietnam says the centre will help the country gain great benefit when dealing with commercial and WTO issues.

This is the 145th centre which is located in a WTO member country. – VOV
