Work on first steel pipe project in Vietnam starts

Petroleum Pipeline & Tank Construction Joint Stock Company (PXT), the main construction firm, held groundbreaking ceremony of the country’s first straight steel pipe plant in Soai Rap Petroleum Service Industrial Zone, Tien Giang.

The plant, which will cover an area of nearly 39.5 hectares and use Swiss technology, will have an output volume of 100,000 tonnes of steel pipes per year.

The plant will supply its products to key projects in the country when the first stage of the plant is completed in Q4 of next year, according to the plant’s investors, PetroVietnam Pipe Manufacturing Joint Stock Company.
