VNPT targets to reach total revenue of 100tr dong
Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) has once again said that it plans to fulfil its business targets of 100 trillion dong in revenue, 13.7 trillion dong of profit and over 8.9 trillion dong in state budget contribution in 2010.
Accordingly, MobiFone aims to reach 2010 total revenue of 40 trillion dong, VinaPhone 30 trillion dong and the rest 30 trillion dong of revenue would come from other business lines.
Last year, the group announced to achieve significant business results with total revenue of 78.6 trillion dong, up 29.7 percent against 2008; and gained profit of 13.5 trillion dong.
There were over 20,000 new telephone subscribers to be developed. The year of 2009 was also considered the break-though year in the field of modernisation of the mobile network infrastructure and coverage expansion.
In the first six months of this year, the group has estimated to reach total revenue of 43 trillion dong, equalling to 42 percent of the year plan. MobiFone and VinaPhone continued to be the two largest mobile network operators in Vietnam’s telecommunication industry.
The VNPT Group has set targets to become one of the top-ten largest IT and telecommunication solution providers in Asia by the year of 2015 with expected revenue of $14-15 billion, profit of 23-23.6 trillion dong. – Dautu
