VN Index loses over 15 points March 14
After two gains in the previous trading week, the Vietnam’s stock market today March 14 tumbled on both bourses Hochiminh Stock Exchange (STC) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).
Particularly, the VN Index on the southern bourse plunged 15.16 points or 3.06 percent to end at 479.9 pts and the HNX Index also tumbled 2.93 points or 3.09 percent to close at 91.92 pts.
On the southern floor, the market saw a total trading volume including matching order trade and negotiation transactions at over 43.73 million shares worth over 895.57 billion dong, up 1.08 percent in volume but down 1.5 percent in value from the previous trading session.
Meanwhile, on the northern bourse, the total market trades reached over 49.6 million shares valued at over 749.13 billion dong, increasing 68.42 percent in volume and 64.16 percent in value from the previous trading session.
The red colour quickly covered the electronic board during the trading session today when closing the trading session, the southern bourse posted only 27 gainers while 229 losers and the figures were 44 gainers and 261 losers on the northern bourse.
