Visa transactions up by 61% in Viet Nam
The total number of Visa transactions in Viet Nam increased by 61 per cent during the first quarter of 2011.
Transactions, valued at US$450 million, experienced an increase of 27 per cent compared to the same period last year
Visa Country Manager for Viet Nam, Laos, and Cambodia, Lorijon Bacchi, said that the Vietnamese market had a lot of potential for e-commerce due to an increase of on-line consumers and Government initiatives to boost non-cash payments.
Visa has worked with 30 domestic and global banks based in Viet Nam, training their human resources and helping them expand their points of sale.
