Vinacomin raises coal prices for electricity sector

The Viet Nam National Coal, Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin), Vietnam’s biggest coal explorer has raised the coal sold to the Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) by 5%

The Viet Nam National Coal, Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin), Vietnam’s biggest coal explorer has raised the coal sold to the Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) by 5% since April 1, the online newspaper Tienphong reported on April 8.

In details, the prices of two regular types of coal dust coal dust No 5, No4b, No 6a and No 6b rose to VND540,600/ton , VND648,400/ton, VND450,000/ton and VND447,500/ton, respectively.

Earlier, Vinacomin has raised the prices of coal selling to Electricity of Viet Nam (EVN) thermo-electric plants.

The Ministry of Finance also agreed to raise the prices of coal selling to the cement sector by 40% on April 4.

Vinacomin currently has 66 subsidiaries including 22 limited liabilities companies, 35 joint stock companies, 4 foreign companies and 5 administrative units. – Stoxplus.com
