Viettel is in step with Vietcombank plan
Vietcombank and Viettel have launched Mobile BankPlus, which enables Viettel’s mobile subscribers to bank with Vietcombank via mobile devices since January.
Specifically, Viettel’s customers can transfer money from one account to another within Vietcombank, top up or pay your phone bills and view their Vietcombank account balance and transaction details.
Customers can manage and use their banking accounts on mobile phones without using connecting to 3G or Wifi.
Hoang Son, director of Viettel Telecom, said this was the strategic cooperation between Vietcombank and Viettel to take full advantage of the number of customers and branch network of both sides.
Deputy general director of Vietcombank Dao Minh Tuan added that the cooperation not only helped increase the customers for two parties but also contribute to the government’s non-cash payment project.
In 2011, Viettel Group’s annual revenue reached 117 trillion dong ($5.61 billion), equal to a 28 per cent year-on-year increase. It gained a profit of 20 trillion dong ($960 million), up 23 per cent against last year’s result.
In 2012, the group set both the revenue and profit a growth rate at 20-25 per cent. The group’s total outbound investment is expected to increase by 50 per cent this year
