Vietnam’s rubber export falls

Vietnam’s rubber export in May fell sharply to only 20,000 tonnes, earning $60 million while the previous month’s figure was 32,000 tonnes, fetching $94 million, according to Vietnam Rubber Association (VRA).

VRA said that the main reason is due to the sales of rubber latex to the China market, which makes up over 60 percent of Vietnam’s total export output, are still stuck.

Currently, the rubber price continued to drop to 22,600-23,000 Chinese Yuan per tonnes while it was 24,000 Chinese Yuan per tonnes in previous months.
