Vietnamese explores for copper in Laos

The Lao Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Thongmy Phomvisay, handed over an investment license to the Viet Lao Company and the Buddha Vientiane on December 1.

These two companies are engaged in a joint project to explore copper on 300km2 area in two districts of Vientiane province.

The project with a total capitalisation of US$30 million will last for 30 years.

Nguyen Tat Lac, Chairman of the Viet Lao Company said that the company has finished the construction of main roads and power lines running to a number of communes.
