Vietnam will lower import tax to 0% on rolled steel including laminated steel and hot rolled flat steel

Vietnam will lower import tax to 0% on rolled steel including laminated steel and hot rolled flat steel, the online newspaper Phapluat TP HCM reported on June 13, citing Luu Duc Huy, Deputy Director of Tax Policy Department under the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Meanwhile, alloy steels with the rated capacity of Boron element (Bo) of above 0.0008% will be taxed by 10% after the Vietnam Steel Association proposed to avoid the cheap imported steel, especially from China.

Vietnam has imported a large amount of cheap steel from China since the beginning of this year, Huy said without any specific figures. – Stoxplus.com
