Vietnam will have additional 12 cement plants starting to operate this year and contributing cement capacity to 10.18 million tons, Nguyen Van Diep, an office manager of the Vietnam National Cement Association said.

The country’s cement output is expected to reach nearly 60 million tons in 2011. Meanwhile, the cement consumption is forecast to rise 10% from 2010 to between 55-56 million tons.
