Vietnam Signs up 41.8M Subscribers in Jan-Nov, Up 57.3%: GSO

Vietnam has signed up 41.8 million new phone subscribers in the first 11 months of this year, a rise of 57.3% over the same period last year, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.

The figure includes 4.2 million landline subscribers and 37.6 million mobile phone subscribers.

The new subscribers have helped raise the total number of phone clients in Vietnam to 123.1 million by end-November, comprising 18.3 million landline subscribers and 104.8 million mobile phone users.

The number of broadband internet users nationwide reached 2.9 million, with Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) serving 2.1 million clients.

Net revenues of the post and telecommunication industry were estimated to reach VND81.2 trillion between Jan. and Nov., up 32.3% on year. (Finance Investment)
