The Vietnamese government expects earnings from coffee shipments to reach $2.6 billion this year, up 30 percent from an initial estimate of $2 billion for the year as prices rose in global markets, Thoi Bao Kinh Te newspaper reported, citing the agricultural ministry’s forecast.

The country may ship more than 1.2 million metric tons of the beans in 2011, Thoi Bao said, without providing comparable figures. – Stoxplus.com
